ChoiceOne and MedSpring have joined forces with the goal of providing superior patient care while improving the everyday health of our patients in the communities we serve. Our mission is to create an outstanding patient experience focused on engagement, communication and empathy.

With more than 60 centers operating in the Austin, North Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Houston metro areas; our friendly healthcare professionals are qualified to treat a wide-range of illnesses and injuries from coughs and colds, to cuts and broken bones. We also provide occupational health and preventative care services. For care that is not life-threatening we offer a faster and more cost-effective option to visiting the ER.

Each clean, inviting center is open every day from 8am to 8pm including weekends and most holidays. All locations are equipped with in-house labs and digital X-ray. And centers offer comfortable amenities for adults and children for a more inviting healthcare experience.

In Georgia and Maryland, we have partnered with some of the most reputable hospital systems and academic medical institutions in the country for improved continuity of care. Butch Marino
President and CEO, ChoiceOne/MedSpring Urgent Care

Butch Marino co-founded Baltimore, Maryland based ChoiceOne Urgent Care in 2014 and led the transaction to merge with Austin, Texas based MedSpring Urgent Care in 2017. The combined entity represents one of the largest urgent care businesses in the U.S. with multiple centers in Maryland, Georgia, Illinois and Texas.

With over 27 years in healthcare corporate development and senior leadership experience, as President and CEO Mr. Marino is responsible for the overall management, strategy, and direction of ChoiceOne/MedSpring Urgent Care. Furthermore, he is responsible for approving key decisions impacting the enterprise, including long-range strategic plans, the allocation of capital, joint ventures, mergers and major acquisitions.

Prior to joining ChoiceOne/MedSpring, Mr. Marino served as the President and CEO of Innovative Health Strategies, where he provided strategic advisory services to multiple healthcare systems and physician groups.

Mr. Marino also served as the Co-Founder and Chief Development Officer of Physicians Dialysis, Inc. He successfully led Physicians Dialysis through several accretive acquisitions and joint ventures, and he created a nationwide network of 24 dialysis clinics. Under his direction, he helped position Physicians Dialysis as the nation's sixth largest dialysis provider, until it was acquired by DaVita, Inc. in 2004.

Prior to Physicians Dialysis, Mr. Marino was with Gambro Healthcare, Inc. from 1996 to 2000, where he ascended from Director of Business Development to Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions. At Gambro Healthcare, Mr. Marino was responsible for meeting revenue and growth objectives through mergers and acquisitions of dialysis clinics, including the formation of joint ventures with physicians and health systems.

Mr. Marino obtained a Bachelor of Science from the University of Delaware. In addition, he attended Fuqua School of Business at Duke University where he completed the Executive Education program with a concentration in Mergers, Acquisitions and Corporate Restructuring Transactions.

Mr. Marino resides in Baltimore, Maryland with his wife and three children.
