Frequently Asked Questions

  • Who will treat me?

The doctors who will treat you via Virtual Care are the same doctors who treat patients in our walk-in clinics. They are board certified in family medicine or emergency room care, and personally interviewed and selected by our Chief Medical Officer.
  • What if I still need to go to an ER or urgent care facility after my Virtual Care visit?

Your doctor may decide that your condition would best be treated in person, with hands on care. It is always up to the provider to decide when to refer a patient to the ER or to a physical office.
  • Do you take insurance for Virtual Care?

You may be able to submit your receipt directly to your insurance company for reimbursement or use your FSA card to pay for virtual care services. You do not need insurance to get Virtual Care services - we charge a flat fee of $49 for all patients, regardless of whether or not they have insurance.
  • Who is eligible for this service?

MedSpring Virtual Care is currently available to those physically present in the state of Illinois at the time of service. Additionally, patients receiving Virtual Care must be over 5 years of age.
